Chesterfield is a village in Macoupin County, Illinois, United States. The population density was 412.2 people per square mile. There were 95 housing units at an average density of 175.6 per square mile. The racial makeup of the village was 97.76% White, 0.45% Native American, and 1.79% from two or more races.There were 86 households out of which 34.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.8% were married couples living together, 14.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.2% were non-families. 24.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
